This moment had been lived before…with fireworks, tight stomachs and heaving chests, weakened knees and watery eyes. Blinding chemistry so strong, it shielded them from whoever was so thoroughly jobless to stand behind yielding curtains satisfying salivating curiosity as to the proximity of the pairs of feet in sight.
This moment had been lived before…with kisses exchanged in front of a priest and familiar eyes, without a care for anything but their fast beating hearts masquerading this pleasant fear of the unknown about life with this lover.
This moment…
was all wrong with loud music as fireworks, pounding hearts as heaving chests, knees weakened from the tiredness of having to stand out, eyes made watery from fear of saying “no” , the priest disguised as the “dj” and the vows : “it is just a kiss”.
This moment, eyes opened abruptly “midkiss” searching frantically for approval on face of the “congregation”.
This moment had been lived before in the heads of the two cowardly people who thought they were showing courage.
